This black and white photograph shows Sister Olive Cullenberg, Hospital Administrator of Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, during the 1950s. Sister Cullenberg is wearing glasses and has on a white deaconess nurses' uniform and cap. A nurse's pin is attached to the left side of her uniform and she is wearing a cross pendant around her neck. Sister Cullenberg is seated at a desk, with a number of papers before her, a pencil in her right hand, looking straight into the camera. A filing cabinet can be seen behind her.

Historical Notes
Sister Olive Cullenberg was a member of the staff of Immanuel Hospital for forty-one years, starting in 1914. In 1948 she became hospital administrator. "Sister Olive was consecrated as a deaconess of the Augustana Lutheran Church in 1920. During the intervening years she also served as superintendent of the school of nursing and directing deaconess of the Immanuel Deaconess Institute, president of the Omaha Area Hospital Council, a member of the State Hospital Advisory Council and president of the Lutheran Deaconess Conference. There was a Sister Olive Foundation established in recognition of her outstanding work in religious, hospital, nursing and welfare fields. In 1957, shortly before leaving Immanuel Hospital to become administrator of Trinity Hospital in Ashland, Wisconsin, Sister Olive was presented with a 1957 model car purchased by staff members and colleagues".
